From Victim to Survivor to Warrior who Will Not Do Anything to Harm Myself and My Healing

From Victim to Survivor to Warrior,

I have traveled a long and arduous road,

Filled with pain, betrayal, and despair,

But I refuse to let my story remain untold.

I was once a victim, a helpless soul,

Caught in the grip of violence and fear,

My innocence shattered, my trust destroyed,

By those who should have held me near.

But I refuse to be defined by my past,

By the wounds that others have inflicted,I

refuse to be held back by their actions,

I am determined to rise, to be unrestricted.

I am a survivor, strong and resilient,I

have weathered the storm and emerged,

I refuse to be silenced, to be overlooked,

I am empowered, my voice will be heard.

I stand tall, with my head held high,

I am a warrior, fierce and brave,

I will not back down, I will not retreat,

I will fight for justice, for those who can’t save.

I say no to a government that turns a blind eye,

To the suffering of those who have been harmed,

I say no to a legal system that fails to see,

The true extent of the damage, the alarm.

I will not serve on a jury that seeks to re-traumatize,

To reopen wounds that have yet to heal,

I will not be a pawn in their game of deceit,

I will stand firm,

I will make my appeal.

My healing is a journey, a path I must walk,

With courage and determination in my heart,

I will not do anything to harm myself,

I will find peace,

I will make a fresh start.

From victim to survivor to warrior,

I have transformed,

I have grown,

I will not let my past define me,

I am strong,

I am resilient,

I am not alone.
