An old soul, weathered and wise

A portrait of time etched in their eyes

They carry the weight of years gone by

But still, a spark of light within does lie

Each line, each wrinkle tells a story

Of love lost, of victories, of glory

They’ve lived through wars and seen the fall

But through it all, they stayed strong

Their spirit enduring, never wrong

Their wisdom deep, their heart pure

An old soul, like a lighthouse, sure

They’ve seen the world change and grow

From horse and buggy to planes that glow

Through it all, they’ve remained the same

A steady presence in a world of change

Their laughter is like a symphony

Rich and deep, echoing through history

Their tears, like rain on a summer day

Washing away the dust of yesterday

An old soul, a beacon of light

Guiding us through the darkest night

Their words like a warm embrace

A reminder of our own true grace

For in their eyes, we see ourselves

The struggles, the triumphs, the dreams we shelf

An old soul, with a heart so pure

A guiding light, forever sure

So let us learn from their wisdom

Let us cherish them, not just listen

For in their aged hands, lies the key

To a life well-lived, pure and free

An old soul, weathered and wise

A testament to time that defies

The power of love, the strength of spirit

An old soul, forever near it.
