Spirit be Freed

In the heart of the forest, where the trees stand tall
And the whispers of the wind beckon all
There lies a spirit, bound and confined
Longing for freedom, to be undefined
For too long it has been trapped in this place
Restricted by fear, consumed by disgrace
But deep down it knows it deserves to be free
To soar like an eagle, untethered and wild and free
As the moon rises high in the sky above
The spirit feels a stirring, a surge of love
It knows the time has come to break free
To shed its chains and finally be
With determination in its eyes
The spirit spreads its wings and lets out a cry
A cry of defiance, a cry of release
As it breaks free from its prison, it finds peace
It soars through the sky, unfettered and wild
Feeling the wind beneath its wings, like a delighted child
The forest below shrinks away
As the spirit rises higher, in a display
Of power and strength, of courage and might
No longer confined, no longer in fright
The spirit is freed, finally able to be
The truest version of itself, wild and free
Now it dances with the stars in the night
A shimmering, ethereal, wondrous sight
A testament to the power of the soul
When allowed to be whole, when allowed to be bold
For the spirit is freed, no longer bound
By the limitations that once held it down
It flies through the night, a beacon of light
Guiding others to break free from their plight
So heed the call of the spirit within
And let your true self shine, let it begin
To break free from the chains that bind
And soar like the spirit, wild and undefined.
